WHO IS IT FOR?

Regular Gym uses who want to have a career working in the fitness industry, or those who wish to gain a formal
qualification, and are already involved in motivating and helping people make changes to their lifestyle in a gym environment.

  • Components of fitness
  • Muscles, muscle action and energy systems
  • Planning a Gym Session
  • Health and Safety
  • Customer Care
  • Exercise technique for free, fixed and CV machines
  • Promoting physical activity
  • Format 10 days plus assessment eith 1 day per week or 2 week intensive.

    PRE-REQUISITES

    Over 18 years of age. Experience of using the Gym

    ASSESSMENT

    Practical assessment (plan, teach and evaluate a Gym session)
    Multiple choice theory paper
    Workshieets completed during the course

    CERTIFICATION

    CYQ Level 2 Certification in Fitness Instructing - GYM

    ENTRY TO REPS AT LEVEL 2

    PROGRESSION

  • Continuing professional development at level 2 in Circuits, Aerobics, Aqua,
    Core Stability, Teaching Children or Studio Cycling (See individual sheets)
  • Certificate in Advanced Gym Instruction
  • Certificate in Personal Training
  • Certificate in GP Referrals
  • Pilates
