WHO IS IT FOR?

This 3-day module is for anyone who wants to develop the knowledge to advise clients on the pros and cons of specific diets or give nutritional guidelines on healthy eating and weight management.

(This module also forms part of the personal trainer award)

COURSE CONTENT

Major foods and food groups
Minor constituents of food
Fluid and fluid replacement
Nutrition and energy production, storage and balance
Nutrition &fat reduction
Nutrition to enhance sport/physical activity and performance
Assessing nutritional status
Eating disorders

FORMAT

1 day per week OR 3 day intensive plus assessment

Multiple choice theory paper
Case study

PRE-REQUISITES

LEVEL 2 Exercise and Fitness Qualification (CYQ or equivalent)

CERTIFICATION

CYQ Certificate in Nutrition and Weight Management
